Energetic and customer-service oriented, the Peach County Recreation Department establishes and oversees programs, activities, events and facilities for the enjoyment of all residents of Peach County.
Qualified recreation leisure professionals and facilities maintenance personnel work hard year round to meet the needs and expectations of Peach County's residents with diversified youth and adult programs and activities.
Peach County offers two beautiful parks: North Peach Park in Byron and South Peach Park in Fort Valley. These parks provide an assortment of activities for residents of Peach and bordering counties. Picnic shelters, playgrounds, walking tracks, tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, horse shoe pits, baseball/softball fields, football fields and soccer fields provide year round activities for all.
These parks also have blueberries, pecans, and chestnuts for public picking and use. A Senior Citizens building is available at South Peach Park, while North Peach Park provides an indoor multi-purpose room with heat and air.
Youth athletics offered by this department include baseball/softball in the spring; football, soccer and cheerleading in the fall, and basketball in winter. Through these programs, we encourage positive social interaction, competition, and skill development; but most of all, we encourage FUN!
All park amenities are open to the general public. Reservations for Picnic Shelters can be made online at peachcountyrec.recdesk.com. Reservations for the Multi-Purpose Room at North Peach Park and field can be made by contacting the Main Office by calling 478-825-3334 or by email.
