Permits and Licenses

The Building and Licensing Department has the primary responsibility of issuing building permits, maintaining flood plain management and issuing occupational tax certificates for businesses located within the unincorporated area of Peach County.

Permits are required to construct single family houses, commercial buildings, churches, accessory buildings, renovations, signs, mobile homes, and demolitions or relocations of any of these. This office conducts all inspections required by the building codes of the State of Georgia for these projects.  

Licensing includes business licenses and non-profit activities or fund raiser event permits. This department is also responsible for the safety inspections conducted prior to the opening or re-opening of businesses.
